MaxFlow Cross-Grip Hairband [Giveaway!]

As a Fitfluential Ambassador, I was recently given the opportunity to review a MaxFlow Cross-Grip Hairband. I’ve been a fan of hairbands for years, as usually wear them for the reasons of fashion and functionality (to keep my long hair out of my face!).

When I read about the MaxFlow Cross-Grip Hairband on the company’s website, I was immediately intrigued. The hairbands are specifically designed to be multi-functional. Not only do they pull hair away from your face, but they also work like a sweatband by actually managing your sweat! This was great news to me- because when I exercise, I sweat a lot- and it often drips down my face.

The MaxFlow Cross-Grip hairbands currently come in Pink/Black, Black/Green and Black/White. I’ve also been told that within the next two months, they will also be available in neon green and houndstooth. :)

My MaxFlow Cross-Grip Hairband arrived last week, and I was stoked that it was hot pink!

The cross grips on the back of the hairband help for it to stay secure and not shift around during exercise. I’m sure that you can relate to the annoying feeling of your hairband sliding further and further back, until it eventually falls off! That kind of movement is one of the biggest complaints that I have about hairbands that I have tried in the past.

The headband is thin, lightweight and fits comfortably. My head is a bit on the larger side, and hairbands often feel tight and give me a headache. I wore this hairband for a good 6 or 7 hours just around my house that first day, and it still felt just as comfortable before I took it off.

Now, the true test was wearing the MaxFlow Cross-Grip Hairband during an exercise session. Last Sunday, I woke up bright and early to do a quick HIIT session before teaching Spinning class and put the hairband in place.

My HIIT workout was about 25 minutes total, which included a lot of explosive movements (burpees, plyometrics, box jumps, etc.). By the end of the workout, the hairband ever so slightly shifted further back on my head- but it was barely noticeable. I put it right back in place when I went in to teach Spinning class. I should also note that I received quite a few compliments on the hairband, and inquiries of where they could be purchased.

My Spinning class did not involve quite as much movement as the HIIT workout, but it was about 50 minutes long and covered 22 miles. During that time, my MaxFlow Cross-Grip Hairband didn’t budge an inch!

I am really pleased that it stayed in place- but even more impressive to me was that it actually did manage my sweat! I definitely noticed far less sweat dripping down my face (which can be loads of fun for someone who wears contacts!), and felt “cooler” in general. That is definitely and awesome bonus feature- and it looks a lot cuter than a sweatband.

Obviously, I am a big fan of MaxFlow Cross-Grip Hairbands and will continue to wear them in the future. Because I am such a fan of this product, I want to share the love with you- MaxFlowSports will send TWO lucky readers* a MaxFlow Cross-Grip Hairband of their own!
