Coconut Secret Love

Recently, Coconut Secret sent me a few of their products to try out.

I was already a big fan of their coconut flour, but the coconut aminos was a new find for me!

I’ve been using coconut flour for baking ever since I discovered it last year. I love how flavorful it is and how it makes everything super fluffy. It’s GREAT for making things like…

Lemon-Blueberry (high protein) pancakes + muffins

Monkey Muffins

and Strawberry Short(protein)cake.

Just to name a few…

Coconut aminos has a (sort of) similar flavor to soy sauce, with a lower sodium content. I decided to try out something very simple for my first coconut aminos test run: marinated portobello mushrooms. I simply chopped up some portobello mushrooms and placed them in a ziploc baggie, along with some coconut aminos and balsamic vinegar.

I let the mixture marinate in the fridge for a few hours.

Then, I removed the mushrooms from the bag and roasted them in the oven for about 10 minutes at 350˚.

They were DELICIOUS!

Coconut Secret also makes coconut vinegar (which I also have), coconut sugar and coconut nectar- which I have used in recipes like this:

Flavors of fall dessert

AND they also make ice cream and snack bars. I haven’t tried either yet, but I’m sure that they’re stinkin’ delicious. Let me know if YOU have tried any of them- and what you think!

Have a great weekend!

Are you a coconut fan? Do you use coconut flour, aminos, sugar or nectar (or anything else coconut)?

Coconut Secret provided the products for me to review. Opinions are my own.
