The photos from this week’s WIAW post were shot on Saturday. Or, as I like to call it: “Snack-er-day.”
See what I did there?
I woke up early to teach the Bodypump 84 launch, and noticed a Winter Wonderland before me…
Ahh… pretty snow.
I fueled up with some Fitmixer Aminos and headed out the door to PUMP it up!
Class was awesome, but by the time I got home I was super hungry. I walked right in the door and quickly made a banana + blueberry smoothie.
I love that sight…
It was more like sorbet- thick and creamy and eaten with a spoon. SO good.
A few hours later, my good friend April came over to visit and we went over to Panera to grab some lunch. I had been looking at the menu online beforehand, since it had been a while since I had been to a Panera. There was a “Turkey Mediterranean Power Salad” listed, which sounded delightful! However, when I got there, it wasn’t listed on the menu. I asked about it any way and the cashier said “it’s listed in the computer- it must be a super secret salad!”
I guess I’m part of some super secret salad club now.
I asked for dressing on the side, which was half a lemon and a single serve packet of olive oil.
How cute!
Lunch was good, but I found myself hungry again an hour or two later. So, I snacked on an apple in my car while running some errands.
And more snacking happened when I got home later in the afternoon, including a few handfuls of this:
That stuff is super addictive!
I also made a microwave muffin using shredded zucchini, pumpkin, coconut + barley flour (amongst other things).
It was topped off with this delicious FROG jam that my lovely friend Heather sent to me!
Heather- I bet you’re super impressed that this jar isn’t empty yet! I’m hoarding it….
There were probably a few spoonfuls of Greek yogurt and handfuls of peanuts consumed as well… but I didn’t take any photos of that. (Shame, shame!)
By the time dinner rolled around, I was still hungry. Shocking, I know. I had been craving Mexican flavors, so I made chicken taco salads!
This was topped with salsa fresca, a baked corn tortilla and salsa + plain Greek yogurt as a dressing. I eat some sort of taco salad for dinner about once a week- and it never gets old.
My beverage of choice:
I looooove that stuff.
Dessert…
A pear with some Greek yogurt and granola. Perfect combo!
As I looked through the photos of my daily eats I thought “whoa… I snacked a lot!” I can think of a few reasons for this: #1 I taught Bodypump in the morning, and am always “hungrier” on days that I strength train (and Saturday is usually a rest day).
#2: I didn’t drink enough water
#3: I wasn’t “prepared” with my cut up veggies. I almost always have cut up carrots, celery, etc. right in the front of my fridge so that I reach for that to snack on instead of something else that I may regret later.
It is what it is- but now I’m aware of some of those triggers and have been keeping my water bottle full 24-7! Check out how much more water I drank on Sunday:
Much better.
Have a great WIAW!
How do you “curb” snacking? Do you find yourself to be “snackier” on certain days?

I LOVE taco salads! In fact, I may like them more than a taco (gasp!). Lately I’ve been making 1 regular taco + a medium sized taco salad and I find myself enjoying the salad more. While I LOVE salads, it still surprises me every time.
Nothing makes me happier than that sight in the Vitamix. I can’t wait for it to warm up so I make them more again!
I definitely knew that the Vitamix swirl would evoke the same emotions from you as it does me. It doesn’t happen every time, but when it does… oh man. I get giddy.
There is actually technically a Panera secret menu!It is the perfect way to eat there and stay on track.

Good job with the water!
Dude! I am totally making tomorrow’s post ALL about that!!!
That muffin looks so good! What a great idea.
Loving all of your eats! I find that I snack more on days that I don’t get enough protein, I’m tired, or I exercised harder the day before.
YUM, taco salad. I think I know what I’m having for dinner tonight!
I love that specific flavor of Kevita, it’s so refreshing! Snacking happens, especially on a day when I workout extra hard! I just try to keep healthy options nearby
Looks like you had some awesome eats!
I think your snacks were super healthy! You might have been a wee bit hungrier than usual, but seems like you made good choices overall.
That FROG Jam? Don’t even get me started. I am hoarding it, too. I actually figured out a way to make something ALMOST the same since I love the flavor combos so much. It is super easy stovetop-style jam.
That muffin does look good!!
I am more snacky if my meals aren’t big enough–esp if I don’t have enough protein in ‘em!! I tend to eat more ‘snacks’ and less meals on the weekends, I’d say.
Woww your smoothie looks so thick and delicious – like soft serve!!
do you have the recipe for the muffin it looks so good!
If you look at my recipe page- it’s basically the same as “protein muffin.” You can use pretty much any type of flour- but I like to use 1 T coconut flour and 1 T oat flour.
I need to update the recipe soon….
I’ve heard about this secret menu. I wish it wasn’t so secret adn people knew about it!
I definitely have snacky days. For me, it’s usually tied to boredom.
I’m such a snacker!! Your meals look amazing girl!! However, I can’t do smoothies in the cold months. I’m really missing them!!
That salad looks good! I need to find out what else is on this secret menu…I am so snacky too usually and they are never healthy snacks it seems!
I cannot get over how delicious your dinner salad looks. Oh man
